NAOMI
With Naomi, I wanted to explore the idea of a constructed identity.
At first glance, the figure appears polished, sophisticated, almost perfectly controlled — like an image designed to exist through the eyes of others.
But the vertical lines crossing the face slowly disrupt that illusion. They act like cracks inside the surface, breaking the codes of perfection and revealing something more fragile underneath.
I’m not interested in painting beauty itself.
What interests me is the tension between appearance and truth, between social projection and inner presence.
Through color, vibration and layered graphic structures, Naomi questions the way contemporary identities are shaped, consumed and eventually fractured.
