OVERGROWTH
Canopy
Chapitre I — Genèse
Canopy was created from the experience of being surrounded by trees and shifting light.
Rather than depicting nature directly, I wanted to capture its imprint.
Leaves, shadows and organic structures become traces of a living presence. The forms seem to appear and disappear across the surface, as if the painting had kept the memory of something passing through.
This work speaks about quiet growth, subtle transformations and the marks that nature leaves behind.
For me, Canopy is not an image of a tree.
It is the memory of being under one.
