BUFFALA
In Buffala, three buffaloes appear to burst forward in a shared movement, somewhere between raw power and freedom.
Their imposing bodies, rendered in electric blues and vibrant pinks, contrast with the warmth of the red background. Nervous lines and overlapping colors give the scene an almost choreographic energy, as though these massive animals were suddenly defying their own weight.
Far from a threatening representation, Julien Gilles challenges traditional images of animal strength, introducing an unexpected sense of lightness and playfulness.
Buffala celebrates a kind of power that does not need to dominate to express itself, where instinct becomes an impulse towards freedom.
