Marmours

With *Marmours*, I wanted to create a simple, almost silent encounter, where everything begins with a gaze.

The bear fills the entire canvas. There is no landscape, no particular setting, just this imposing presence facing us. Its eyes immediately draw our attention, while the lines and colours seem to disturb the apparent calm of its expression.

I find this contrast interesting. The animal appears still, yet the entire surface remains in motion. Some may see tenderness, others suspicion, curiosity, or something entirely different.

As with the other works in my *WILD* collection, I prefer to leave this encounter open. What matters is not only what we are looking at, but also what this presence awakens in us.
